Symbolic Link - Selection Not Selectable - Why???

Trying to create a symbolic link in my QNAP 219+ II NAS.
I installed WINSCP and followed the instructions. When I get to the selection to select Symbolic Link, it is grayed out,ie not selectable.

Does something need to be set in the NAS to allow it to be created? I am at a loss.
The firmware is ver 4.0.2 build 20130726.

Would appreciate some direction.

But it is checked, right? It means that you cannot uncheck it, because creating a hardlinks is not supported.
