WinSCP crashes

I've been using WinSCP 5.5.1(3970) and I'm loving it. I take advantage of background transfers for bigger files. Usually I do the transfers over the night and almost every morning I check my computer, I see a window saying that WinSCP has crashed although I can see the transfers still going on in the background. This is a top window with no possibility of minimizing it. I can be moved though. When I click on OK, WinSCP closes down.

I always end up asking my self how can I be sure in these cases that the file transferred matches the original file. Is there any crc check performed at the end or I have to do it manually each time this happens?
