Error codes

I get the following error message upon uploading plain .htm-files to my server. Why? And what do these error codes mean?

Error message from server: Permission denied (*)

The message means exactly what it says. Unfortunatelly you have not posted the main message, so I can hardly tell when the problem occures.

BTW: I have deleted your duplicate post.
