Regular crashes

Hi,

Since one of the last updates, I have regular crashes in WinSCP.

In most cases it crashes under the following circumstances:

1.) Log into a ftp sever.
2.) Choose a target directory and start an upload. (queued background upload)
3.) While the upload is running, switch ftp server directories and create a new folder and subfolder.
4.) When I try to open the newly created subfolder, in some cases a flashlight animation appears and in most cases the client crashes in that case.

I've added the crash log from windows event manager. Let me know if you need more info.

Re: Regular crashes

Thanks for your report.

Can you send me an email, so I can send you back a debug version of WinSCP to track the problem? Please include link back to this topic in your email. Also note in this topic that you have sent the email. Thanks.

You will find my address (if you log in) in my forum profile.

Hi Martin,

Looks good so far. No matter how fast I change directories, create new ones or just navigate in the remote window, I couldn't trigger the issue any longer.

Many thanks for the quick help and the fix!

Kind Regards,
Marcus

now crashing my windows 10 while in sleep mode

I have just changed my storage method from registry to ini file to see if this prevents further win 10 blue screens. Will return in a few weeks to let you know.
