Remote File sorting

Hi,

I have a Linux server I access which uses long alphanumeric strings for folder and filenames. Both folders and filenames used to sort logically in both the remote folder and file panels until, I think, v5.5.6

The folder panel sorts as expected (top right in attachment) but the filename panel (shown displaying the same folders bottom right of attachment) doesn't sort as expected.

From topic Human readable sorting this looks like a change made in v5.6.2 beta. I sympathise with the point that topic 6906 links to here (<invalid hyperlink removed by admin>) but I believe that folder listings should be conventionally sorted.

Hi @martin – can you say approximately how long this option will be? I would rather not have to revert to v5.5.6 but I may need to if this is some way off.

I'm too want that option.
10x_file1.txt should be in front of 3xx_file2.txt. Can I speed that up with a donation? (BTW I donated already).
