BAck up best options

Hi

first of all thanks for this software.

I'm using it to make wordpress backups. I'm using Win 8.1 - Ftp
I'm finding some difficulties: here are my problems.


1- Once made the first back up I use "only new or renewed files" transfert option
2- I set the background mode
3- When downloading a file which is not important (for example big log files) I click the delete button (red cross icon) and the all download stop (not only the single file)
4- I would like to exclude some directories (for example that one of the zip backups)

Can you give me some advices to set a functional and fast backup mode?

Can you tell me if it's possible also this option:

Stop downloading a file which is not important (for example big log files)
