Very high upstream bandwidth being used when downloading using WinSCP
This is a strange one to me:
Doing some speed tests with WinSCP by sshing into the server and running Bandwidth Monitor (<invalid hyperlink removed by admin>) to see if WinSCP is recording the same bandwidth as my server.
However, I noticed that both the upstream and downstream were using the same amount, which seemed quite excessive. I've tried toggling compression and encryption and I still have the same problem. A friend ran WinSCP to my server and was able to download no problem without uploading a huge amount like I am. I believe Bandwidth Monitor because I was able to see throtlling in other downloads which would indicate that the bandwidth is really being used.
The only difference between us is that I can find is that I am behind a HTTP proxy. Any thoughts on how I can solve/troubleshoot this problem?
