WinSCP vs F-Secure on Windows XP/2000

Firstly I am very new to all of this and so i hope this is a simple config problem or something I have missed! and secondly I'll apologise now for any idiot questions I ask!

I have an XP machine (will be a 2000 server) with F-Secure's SSH running on it and using the F-Secure client I can connect perfectly using password only (I'll try the whole key thing after I get this working!).

We would like to use WinSCP as the client but I just keep getting the following message when I attempt a connection:

"Error skipping startup message. Not connected!"

If I try and login with the logging enabled I get the following:

. --------------------------------------------------------------------------

(Quick note: I have changed the IP address of the host and the host name to protect the innocent!)

Hope someone can help...

Re: WinSCP vs F-Secure on Windows XP/2000

Please make sure, that your shell is compatible with WinSCP. WinSCP requires UNIX-like shell. I have no experiences with F-Secure, but on OpenSSH for Windows, it is only necessary to specify /bin/bash on Shell tab of Login dialog.
