Invalid Access to Memory

Winscp keeps crashing randomly and keeps flashing a msg to the screen saying "Invalid Access to Memory" Is there anyway to determine why this error is happening. I have kill winscp and restart

Invalid Access to Memory

Hi,

I'm using WinSCP v3.7.5 (build 294) and I have noticed that this "Invalid access to memory" exception orrucs usually when idling in the server so far that you get kicked out for timeout. The error message jumps out usully before "Reconnect" -dialog.

I have experiment this bug since so far I can remember (> v3 or so) so it is not just in this latest version (v3.7.5).

Hi Martin,
I tried 3.7.1 and I don't get the invalid memory error message. I have also noticed that I get the error I have the connection open a long time.

I get 'Invalid access to memory' when doing the following:
Choose: Help -> Check for updates.
Click OK to close the 'You have the lastest version' box.
Choose: Options -> Preferences

The error then appears. If I go to preferences again after that it works fine. I can reproduce it numerous times.

v3.7.5

This was already fixed. Thanks anyway.

Thanks for your report.

Can you send me an email, so I can send you back a debug version of WinSCP to track the problem? Please include a link back to this topic in your email. Also note in this topic that you have sent the email. Thanks.

You will find my address (if you log in) in my forum profile.
