login as su possible?

Hi there, I have a problem, my server is setup this way:

I have to login as "normal user" first and then change to su to be logged in as root and be able to access all files (and change them)

Is there a solution to do these steps to be able using WinSCP? If logged in as "normal" user it makes not much sense unfortunately...

Please help with a solution, many thanks in advance!!!
