WinSCP – Not supported Mainframe server – Bug #49

Hi,

As part of our development, we are trying to use WinSCP component to download the file from Mainframe server.

The same issue already raised under bug#49. Also, I have some there might be some settings for supporting Mainframe servers. Could you please share, what's the process need to be followed?

What protocol? SFTP or FTP?

Try 5.8.2 beta, it works slightly better with some non-standard servers.

WINSCP vs MVF/MAINFRAME

WinSCP cannot change directory / dataset (internal CWD command) on IBM mainframe FTP server. Somehow it is not handling the dataset name properly – the name is doubled, e.g.:

Retrieving directory listing...
CWD /'USER34.'/'USER34.'/
550 CWD cmd failed : EDC5129I No such file or directory.

Anu clue?
