SFTP timeout issue behind a Cisco ASA firewall
Hi everyone,
I'm currently experiencing an issue where the connection timeouts when at the authentication. The only way around the issue is to increase the Server response timeout to 75 seconds. The strange thing is that it only happens if the client is behind a Cisco ASA firewall. I've tried it behind a Sophos Firewall and this issue does not occur.
I've tried disabling both FTP and TFTP inspection. I know it's not a port issue because once the timeout is increased both the authentication and transfers go through but are painfully slow. This is causing major problems because we have "homemade" tools that do sftp transfers and asking a programmer to set longer timeouts on these tools would be difficult at this time.
Thank You1
