Stuck in Console

Hello,
SFTP connected, I have opened Terminal and in the Console window executed the command 'vmstat 1'.
The results are nicely displayed every second on screen but... I can't leave it or stop execution.
Now I see I should not start an user interactive command, but is there a way to stop Console execution?

Well, actually there's no way to stop such command. Normally, WinSCP would timeout waiting for the command to finish. But your command keeps producing an output indefinitely.
