Is there a way to disable Subversion .svn folders?

I am using WinSCP to synchronize a program development folder with a remote site, and WinSCP tries to synchronize the .svn folders as well. Is there a way to set WinSCP do disable and .svn folders, or any folder or file types in particular?

That's what exclude mask is good for.
