so slow

Why is this program SO SLOW? Transfering 20MB from a quad core i7 computer on 100Mbit bandwidth to a server on Gigabit internet with quad core and it says its going to take 30+ minutes.

What protocol?
What is CPU usage? (of the CPU core that runs WinSCP)
Do you get better throughput with any other client using the same protocol?
