I get the following error when sending a simple text file UTF-8 encoding to a SFTP site then trying open it. [/img]

May be the file is not UTF-8 encoded?

What happens after you click OK?

Does the problem really occur only after an upload? Can you open the file from a local folder?

I had the exact same problem. It was because the display font of the internal text editor had somehow turned to null.
Options > Preferences... > Editors > Internal editor

I set an appropriate font and then it started working.
