Long loading of folders with thousands of files

I don't know, what exactly is the program doing, but when achieveing the unix "log" folder, containing typically 200.000 or more of files it starts to load them some very slow way, because it takes minutes to display the filenames with details. I know, in the window title it counts the files, but after loading all of them (tens of seconds) it freezes for next tens of seconds to display them.
