WinSCP issue

The download for the wiscp keeps saying looking for host how do you find the host name it is looking for I have never had to do this on other apps

Do you actually mean that you get "Searching for host" message, when connecting your session (not downloading)? And nothing else happens then? Or is different problem? Please elaborate.

Can you connect (or download files) with any other client using the same protocol? Can you post log files both from WinSCP and the other client?
