Old host giving a bad response to PWD

I have a old FTP server (220 HP ARPA FTP Server [A0009C04] (C) Hewlett-Packard Co. 1990) that is returning a bad response to the PWD issued on startup. There is little change of change the host software. Is there anyway to get WinSCP to ignore the error?

257 "MGR.TEST,SCAN" is the current session.
ftp>
