how to share a folder in unix and to list the shared folders

Hi,
I wanna know how to share a folder in unix and to list the shared folders. Im not working in the Unix box. Im using the Telnet to work in the Unix.
Is there any possibility for web sharing in this case.

Which means sharing a folder(so can be accessed) and can be viewied on Web by mentioning the IP and the shared folder.
For e.g, In 666.666.666.666 if a folder named Hema is webshared, it can be accessed in web thorugh http://666.666.666.666/Hema

This Web sharing facility is available in Win XP.
So wanna know whether its available in Unix/Linux

Web sharing is functionality of web server, not of operating system. Of course any web server can do that. Details depends on what server do you use.
