transfer aborts / temp directory full

i tried to copy large files (~1000 mb) over winscp from one host to another.
the local machine (winscp2) copied the whole file into the temporary directory (on another harddisk) and then to the target directory (on second harddisk)

is there any possibility to deactivate this 'feature' and directly copy the files to the target path?

This is explained many times in this forum already.
