Hi,

Please can you help me to understand if there is any restriction with winSCp that it will upload only files of some fixed size. When I am trying to upload 18 files of around 233mb size from one server to another..it is only uploading 15 or 16 files.

Please can you help me to understand, if there is any restriction with file size while uploading using winSCP SFTP.

Regards

There are no restrictions. It makes no sense whatsoever that client would restrict you anyhow.
If you need any more assistance, we need a session log file.

I already wrote above, that there are no restrictions on WinSCP side.

And you didn't provide any more information.

At least post a log file (Session.SessionLogPath).

Hi Martin,

I am geeting below error.

Timeout waiting for WinSCP to respond - WinSCP has not responded in time. There was no output. Response log file C:\Users\User\AppData\Local\Temp\wscp0644.038CA86C.tmp was not created. This could indicate lack of write permissions to the log folder or problems starting WinSCP itself.

Please can you help me asap on this

So use a path, where you have a write access too. For a test did you try some temporary folder or a folder where everyone has a write access?

Regarding the documentation link you have provided, from That I have already implemented all solutions but no luck.
What specifically did you do?

Re: Error with winscp(Access to the path 'D:\WINSCPLog' is denied.)

In what environment do you use WinSCP .NET assembly?

Did you try setting the Session.ExecutableProcessUserName/Session.ExecutableProcessPassword?

Re: Error with winscp(Access to the path 'D:\WINSCPLog' is denied.)

What credentials did you use? Did you use the credentials of the local account that run your code?
Did you try to google that error message? There are many articles that cover it.
Do you understand that the error has nothing to do with your SFTP credentials, right? It's about permissions of your local account to spawn WinSCP process. (Because from the wording of the other post, which I'm quite sure it related to yours, it seems the you do miss that – https://winscp.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=28862)

Hi Martin,

Please can you provide any solution for error: System.TimeoutException: Timeout waiting for WinSCP to respond - WinSCP has not responded in time. There was no output. Response log file D:\WINSCPTemp was not created. This could indicate lack of write permissions to the log folder or problems starting WinSCP itself.

This is really impacting business as we are stuck with this issue since long.
Let me know, if you need to sync up to discuss further on this.

So did you use the credentials of the local windows account that runs your web server for the Session.ExecutableProcessUserName/Session.ExecutableProcessPassword?

Anyway, WinSCP .NET assembly is not designed for use from a web server. See:
https://winscp.net/eng/docs/library#purpose
... it is also difficult to use the assembly within a restricted environment like a web server, that limits or even restricts execution of external processes.
Having that said, most users are able to use the assembly even from a web server. I do not know what's specific about your setup.
