winscp fails to list directory after connection

Im trying to connecto through scp.

When connected through the wired interface. the connection works.

When connecting through a wireless connection (same LAN). the listing of the remote directory times out.

Any clues?

i have to add. that

1. i see the directory listed in the background. but the connection status window does not close.

2. once i tried connecting and failed. i switch to wired or usb tethering and the winscp (which was disconnected) hangs. i need to kill the process. the new instance can connect as expected throught the tethered or wired connection.

3. the wireless chipset is ralink rt5370, if this is of any use.

Can you retrieve the listing using any other client using the same protocol?
