Email notification query

Hi,

Forgive me if this has already been answered. I have had a look but not found the answer yet. I have an ftp server that receives files every hour. We then move those files over to our file server via .bat script that logs in using WinSCP. My query is, what would be the best way of adding an email notification in the event that there was no new file there to pick up on the ftp share.

WinSCP will by default fail if there are no files to transfer.
You can detect the failure and send the email.
