Synchronize in command line

I would like to use the synchronize method in a batch file but I cannot set the synchdelete option as specified in the help. Obsolete files are deleted, if option 'synchdelete' is on.

Look at the help synchronize commmand:
winscp> help synchronize
synchronize local|remote|both [ <local directory> [ <remote directory> ] ]
When the first parameter is 'local' synchronises local directory with
remote one. When the first parameter is 'remote' synchronises remote
directory with local one. When the first parameter is 'both' synchronises
  directories one against the other.
When directories are not specified, current working directories are
  synchronized.
Obsolete files are deleted, if option 'synchdelete' is on.
Note: Overwrite confirmations are always off for the command.
effective options:
  transfer, synchdelete, exclude, include
examples:
  synchronize remote
  synchronize both d:\www /home/martin/public_html

When I try to activate synchdelete I get:
winscp> synchdelete on
Unknown command 'synchdelete'.
winscp> synchdelete
Unknown command 'synchdelete'.
winscp>

Thanks for help,
