i understand your question
the challange is i am locking for a solution when you have multiply users on a windows rds enviroment and every users can save his settings on the system wihtout conflicting with other users..

the solution can be a HKCU user registry setting
or a ini file for every users.

WinSCP uses HKCU registry.
