How to exclude files using TransferOptions

Hello,
I am working on developing a C# app that will synchronize directories to a remote location. I have most of what I need figured out, but I cannot find details on TransferOptions to ignore certain directories (e.g. @Rec, .DS_Store and the like).
Can someone please point me to .NET relevant documentation?
