SendBuf=0, but still get message saying to turn off Optimize connection buffer size

Hi,

After experiencing the 'Host not communication for more than 15 seconds' message and following suggestions from the forum (setting SendBuf to off), we're still getting the same errors.

The command line is
@ECHO OFF
CD "C:\scripts"
winscp.com /log="C:\Download\OurSite.log" /ini=nul /script=OurSite.txt
And log files are attached.

Also, I'm sorry but we can't upgrade right now. Most of our scripts are working, and we would have to do regression testing before upgrading. Right now, the priority is to get 4 files to one of the clients, without breaking anything.
  • OurSite.log (9.23 KB, Private file)
  • OurSite.txt (359 Bytes, Private file)

Can you upload the files successfully anyhow? In WinSCP GUI? Using any other SFTP client?

It did go through with the GUI. But a few times, it popped up the message that the host wasn't communicating for 15 seconds. I clicked on the popup, and it kept going.

I think we're going to have to talk with the client, to give us overwrite or delete permissions. It's impossible to test more than once for each file, because the partial files end up on the server, and we can't overwrite them with the complete file.

Is there something else that we should ask the client, in terms of configuring their ftp site?

What did you click on the popup? There's only Abort button, what would not allow the transfer to "keep going".

No, it was the kind of popup that shows on the lower left corner of the screen. It asked if the user wanted to wait another 15 seconds. I just clicked on the popup itself, and it disappeared.

If there was an Abort button, I didn't see it.

Hi Martin,

I've been waiting for a response from the client, whether we should pursue this. They told us last week, that they didn't think they needed the quarterlies anymore, but they would confirm.

They haven't confirmed yet.

I have another issue. More like a success story, but that leads to another question.

I'll open another thread.

T & R,
