Download multiple files with same file type in SFTP

Hello. I have set up WinSCP to connect to an SFTP server. It contains thousands of folders and subfolders. I am only interested in downloading all of the files with a certain filetype. Let's say for this example I'm looking for filetypes with the extension .pdf.

Is it possible to use WinSCP to do two functions:
1. Search within all remote subfolders for all files with the extension .pdf
2. Download said files

I'm very new at using WinSCP for the record, so apologies in advance for my basic knowledge.

In GUI? Or do you want to script the download?

Do you want to download all files to same local folder? Or do you want to preserve the remote directory structure locally?
