Can't list all files in directory (wordpress uploads) only 5 000 files displayed while 26 000 files

is there any restriction with number of files that can be list in a directory?

No. It's most likely the server that limits the number of files it can provide to the client. If you post session log file, we can investigate it further. But it will probably only confirm what I wrote.

Until that, could you help me by giving which typical PHP setting could be involved in such trouble? I will also try to add this value in next reply and also see if increase this parameter could solve my trouble.

please find a simple session
where I connect on OVH server, get folders and files listing
then start a synchronisation between local and distant.

No difference found.

But in reality files found and copied from distant server to local are not ALL files on distant server.
