SFTP: Password authentication failed / Access denied

Hi,

WinSCP fails to connect to a SFTP Server. It looks like there is a problem with the authentication. I can though connect with FileZilla and Total Commander.

WinSCP Version is 5.21.6

Logs from WinSCP and FileZilla attached.

There are special characters in the password. Can that be the problem?

Your are connecting to secure FTP (FTP over TLS/SSL) with FileZilla. Not SFTP (over SSH). Those are completely different protocols. Select FTP in WinSCP and it will for sure work too.
