winscp doesn't show up on screen though i have used it for many years

WinSCP (which I use as backup for all my files) doesn't show up on my screen though I have used it for many years without any problems. I tried to download it: doesn't work (gives the message that it is being used by me though it isn't. It doesn't appear at all, whatever I try.

What exactly does it mean "doesn't show up on my screen"? Are you missing the icon to start WinSCP? Or do you mean that WinSCP window does not appear after you start it? What happens instead? Nothing? Or does at least the taskbar icon appear?
