When you use the mouse to select a file, only the file name is highlighted

Select "View" as "Details".
When you move cursor to select a file, only file name is highlighted.
If you then scroll to the right hand side to look at file properties (size, time, rights, etc.), it is difficult to see which file you have selected.

Enable Full row select:
