Host name and username corrupts

I have to write my own client. I used WinSCP for years, but it recently updated. My server is such that my hostname can't be the same as my username, or login will be unsuccessful. Ever since the latest update, I put hostname in, then I add the username that doesnt match the hostname and it changes the hostname, every attempt I make to set it properly fails, it is a continuous thing, unfixable meaning that no one is going to fix this, I need it fixed now so for that reason I am being forced to write my own client. Thanks anyways.

Re: Host name and username corrupts

Please give us some example of values that cause this problem. Few screenshots might also help.
If you put an actual hostname and username, the behaviour you are describing does not happen.
Aren't you trying to put some kind of URL actually?

the app

That's almost funny. I am half done with a new FTP client because I've never seen an actively developed FTP client that didn't cost an arm and a leg. But the app was updated last night, and the issue has since been fixed.
