Issue with missing folder structure after upgrade Categories not visible in WinSCP SFTP navigation

Hi everyone,

I’m currently using WinSCP to manage files on a remote system, and I’ve run into a strange issue after an upgrade.

Previously, I had a clear folder structure that worked a bit like a “categorization system” (similar to organizing items in a puzzle grid like Letter Boxed, where everything had its own logical grouping and was easy to navigate). For example, I could easily locate and manage my “Games” or similar grouped folders.

However, after the upgrade, that structure no longer appears in the interface. The “Games” category/folder is completely missing in the Categories section, even though I know the files still exist somewhere on the server.

Now I’m stuck because:

The category is not visible in WinSCP’s navigation panel
I can’t delete or edit the related files easily
I’ve tried refreshing and reconnecting, but nothing changes
I also considered OpenSSH + WinSCP integration, but I still can’t locate the expected directory structure

I’m trying to understand whether:

The upgrade changed how categories/folders are mapped in WinSCP
The folder still exists but is not being displayed due to permissions or path changes
Or if I need to rebuild the session or configuration without losing data

Before I reset or reinstall anything, I want to confirm:
Will deleting/reinstalling WinSCP reset only the interface, or could it affect stored session paths and file structure visibility?

Any guidance would be appreciated especially if someone has faced a similar issue after an upgrade.

Thanks in advance
