Synergy and WinSCP don't play well together...
Can you be more specific? :-)

from an observational standpoint, since winscp (at least pre 4.0 versions) is quite process heavy on the window event thread (as can be seen by grabbing on the progress frame title bar and trying to drag while a transfer is going on), this hogging of the event thread makes for an unhappy world with synergy which is also polling that event thread to determine whether it needs to send events to remote machines.

once winscp surrenders focus, it's less bad, but still not good.

Thanks for the explanation, is there no way to make these guys play well together?

These are two things i use all day long in my job and its a little anoying.

WinSCP let me say is an amazing piece of software. Now that it has FTP, its my most used program.
