Can Syncronization is possible with this program? How it works?

There are two features, you might be interested in: "Compare directories" and "Keep remote directory up to date". Both can be found in "Commands" menu. WinSCP currently does not support synchronization of subdirectories.

Is it possible to incoporate the rsync algorithm into the comparisons?

IFAIK, it would be possible only with SCP, not with SFTP. I'll consider it, but it will not be soon for sure.
