SSL Support

I hope you can help me, I'm new to SFTP so I may get the terminology wrong...so please forgive me.

When Windows Server 2008 is released I intend to implement SFTP on IISv7. I currently use WinSCP to connect to my [insecure] FTP Server.

Microsoft's IIS v7 (Release Candidate 0) seems to support SFTP over SSL and it appears that WinSCP doesn't support this.

Will FTP over SSL be supported in a future version of WinSCP? If not, can I add a feature request?

Many thanks,

Lee

Looks like :-)

SFTP and FTP over SSL are two unrelated things. SFTP over SSL seems nonsense.

WinSCP supports SFTP, but not FTP over SSL.

So can you tell, what does IIS support? IFAIK it supports FTP over SSL for years already. I haven't heard about SFTP support.

Apologies! :-)

IIS [IIS v7] supports FTP over SSL.

In light of your message, are there any plans to add support for FTP over SSL in WinSCP?

Yours hopefully,

Lee

Yes, in long term. I does not have a priority yet.
