Connection speed throttled using SFTP
I am trying to figure out what is happening.
connecting to VSHELL server via DS3 (bandwidth not an issue)
using WinSCP 4.0.5 build 354 - AES cipher
I open 1 session max out 360KB/s
I open 5 concurrent sessions they each max out 360KB/s
using WinSCP 4.0.5 build 354 - Blowfish cipher
I open from 1 to 5 concurrent sessions they max out 1.2MB/s
but most of the time they settle at 760KB/s
using FileZilla w/Putty .60 and AES chiper
I can open 1 session and get 15MB/s
I can open 4 sessions and get 2.2MB/s
What is so different with the way WinSCP uses AES cipher? It isnt a physical system issue the CPU never goes over 50% and the NIC 75% with multiple sessions.
Let me know if there is more data you need.
