Question

The problem is then when I'm trying to delete files with folders from the server, but not regularly, only then one the there is maybe 100 folders I sort them according date and then deleting just those witch is correct date. All the winSCP hangs and not responding for a while, only taskManager helps. I'm using vista, and connecting via FTP;

I'm not sure maybe there is some kind of work around or I need to set some parameters but so far it's not working corrent for me :-)

What version of WinSCP are you using?

The last one, I tryed to delete, I couldn't because I didn't have rights, but after several tries of deleting winSCP got status "Not responding", only task manager saved my. The folder contains ~7000 folders, with pictures in it, and I just sorted according date and tried to detele random 20 folders.

I wasn't able to reproduce the problem. Can you give me more details?
Are you using WinSCP 4.1.4 beta?
What interface do you use? Commander of Explorer?
Do you delete local or remote directories?
At what stage does WinSCP hang? Before you get delete prompt? After? After deleting the directories?
Do you select several directories in row? Or distinct directories?
What version of Windows are you using?

I'm using last release 4.1.4 (build 417????).
I'm deleting remote folders with files in it.
I'm using explorer with file tree view.
WinSCP hangs right after it deletes (or not, if I have no ritght to do that, it hangs right after I press "skip all").
Yes I'm selecting several directories. It could random ones or no.
I'm working on windows vista business.

If you whant my appinion I think that ether there is something wrong with server (f.e it gives back somthing wrong) or WinSCP can't handle hude amount of folders, becouse with small amount of files (in the same server) it's working just perfect.
