WinSCP.com returning "invalid access to memory"

I installed WinSCP 414 beta and tried to run WinSCP.com from a cmd window, in the installation directory, and I get the "invalid access to memory" error message.

I am running Windows XP Home SP2 w/ 2gb ram.

Any ideas what might be wrong?

I'll try the previous "stable" version...
