file filter

Hello,

I sometimes have to deal with lots of files and folders and a file filter, effective only in the current directory, would be totally awesome, so I could narrow down the list of files only to the ones I'm interested in.

For example, imagine a control like the one in FireFox, when you hit CTRL+F. And while you type in it, only files that contain those specific characters will be shown or excluded from the file/folder list. And for greater flexibility, the choice of having a regex expression as a filter.
