Copying: Remote failed to answer for "x" seconds

I can log onto WinSCP. I can transfer small files successfully. BUT when attempting to transfer a large folder containing several large files, some files are transferred and then I get the error message saying "remote failed to answer for "x" seconds". After exiting this screen, Message states copy failed from remote . ."

Does this happen on upload or download? What shell is your default one? Can you try to specify some other shell on Shell tab of login dialog (/bin/bash for example)? Maybe even try to change you default shell (to BASH preferably).
