authentication proxies with the Check for Updates

WinSCP 4.17's "Check for Updates" feature does not appear to support those of us who always have to use an authentication proxy for every internet access. The session proxy options support user/password, but for some reason, not in the update function.

Putty have a very useful feature that lets you define an "exclude these sites" list with wildcard support for the proxy. That would a nice enhancement to this product.
