Automatic update causes network issue

Hi,

Not a biggie. The automatic update on WinSCP is quite aggressive if it can't get to the update web site. I had our network engineer in a tizz as WinSCP had opened 64000 connections to the web in a few minutes. It would be good if it had some sort of arithmetic slowdown in attempt frequency after failure.

I do not think WinSCP does that.
Anyway, what do you exactly mean by "can't get to the update web site" and "connections to the web"?
