root i jailed

Hi there.

I have been using winscp for 3 years now without a glitch.

In the last week I can login to my server as user root but

I'm jailed to my directory. If I try to go above to /

directory I get disconnected by winscp.

Putty works fine and logging to the server with my browser

via FTP as root and then going to the / directory works

also.

I searched some forum and found that you can jail a user to

his home directory but I don't know how to "free" him.

If anyone know the exact syntax (as I'm not a unix expert),

may he live long and prosper.

well, i actually got in once, the settings were the same.

Since then can't get in again so i'm not sure it's credantials.

maybe it's time out period.i changed it to 1 minute, no dice.

please remember that i log-in instantlly but when i go up to

/ directory it fails to connect. in the end i get

I do not think that this has anything to do with jail. Generally some users of OpenSSH have the same problems entering root directory. Seems to be some problem of OpenSSH.
