multisession transfers

Hi All,

Firstly, great software! But is it possible to force Winscp to open up more than one transfer session per group of selected files? I have a lot of files to transfer and would like to utilise the bandwidth we have here (which works better using multiple connections / sessions rather than transfering one file at a time). Currently I have to manually select each file and transfer it rather than selecting all the files at once.

In addition, when you do select a number of files and set them transfering, a line appears in the queue window but only displays the current file being transfered. There doesn't seem to be a way to show all the files that have been selected and are waiting transfer.

Hope someone can help.

Many thanks in advance

Hi,

Thanks for reply - I've looked at the tracker.... will the status of the tracker be changed to implement this feature as it looks like what's been implemented is just for when you select and process individual files?

Many thanks

Hi,

Yes please.... I'd like to be able to select a number of files, set them to transfer in one go AND be able to see them all in the queue. For example, if you set the number of symaltaneous transfers to 4 and have requested to transfer 8 files in total, i would like to see all 8 files in the queue with 4 transfering and the remaining 4 pending.

I know when you sync local and remote copies or sites, the queue might be very long indeed but then at least you've got a good idea of what's done and what's pending still.

Please let me know if you think this is possible.

Many thanks

Well, that's what it does. What it does not, is when there's a directory in your selection, the directory will be single entry in queue. It won't en-queue each file in that directory individually.

Hi,

Ah! I've just had a look at the history (https://winscp.net/eng/docs/history) and see that this fix (bug tracker 97) has not yet been released....

Will await for the new release! :D

Many thanks
