Topic "throughput issue with build 177"

Author Message

I'm finding that winscp is on average 30% slower than pscp. Over a 256kbps leased line I'm getting about 22kBps with pscp, which seems about right when you add in encryption overhead but with winscp I get only 15kBps
Looking at the actuall stats for the line I can see that the usage drops by about the same factor.
Any ideas why winscp runs slower ?
You mentioned that you made a few speed improvements, when will they be released ?

Which protocol are you using with PSCP and WinSCP? Today I'm going to release new version of WinSCP, with improved SFTP performance.
