Not the Owner Error message

After uploading a file (permissions 7777) when another person tries to overwrite file they get an error saying that it failed because they aren't the owner. However; it actually does overwrite the file.

How can I get rid of the error message. We have a shared file that is uploaded by several people throughout the week as it is updated by whoever is currently working that day.
