When attempting to connect to our offsite Linux web server (nacc.musiccity.net), we receive the following error.

connect(): unknown error.

please advise on resolutions.

According to error message, I suppose that you've tries WinSCP1. Please, try WinSCP2 instead. Your server uses SSH version/cipher (or something other) that is not supported by WinSCP1. If problem is somewhere else, WinSCP2 should give you more meaningful error message or you'll be able to find more information in its log file.
